Diagnose And Treat
Anxiety
Anxiety is a mental health condition. It is characterized by excessive apprehensiveness about real or perceived threats, typically leading to avoidance behaviors and often to physical symptoms such as increased heart rate and tense muscles.
Depression
Depression is a mental health condition in which a person feels very sad, anxious and without hope. These persons often have physical symptoms such as feeling tired or being unable to sleep.
Bipolar Disorder
Bipolar is an affective disorder in which there are dramatic shifts from one emotional extreme (euphoria, intense activity) to another (depression). There are different forms of Bipolar Disorder as well. Bipolar I Disorder and Bipolar II Disorder are separate conditions and there are many specifiers to the conditions.
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder) is a condition that causes people to have intrusive and recurring thoughts that are unwanted and unnecessary. These intrusive thoughts often cause people to waste time and energy in an effort to make them go away. The symptoms act as a heavy weight that burdens people and can decreases their time and effectiveness when doing normal day-to-day tasks
Schizophrenia
Schizophrenia is a mental illness in which a person becomes unable to link thought, emotion and behavior. This often leads to withdrawal from work, school or personal relationships.
PTSD
Posttraumatic Stress Disorder is a condition that can manifest as heightened emotions, distressing memories, nightmares, difficulty sleeping and dissociative reactions and many others. This disorder usually occurs due to a traumatic event such as injury, sexual violence, or threatened death. Individuals with PTSD often have symptoms triggered by people, events or situations.
Don’t know where to start or don’t know if what your experiencing is a psychiatric condition? That’s ok. Every patient that is seen receives a thorough diagnostic workup. Sometimes patients are seen and it is found that their concerns are not due to a mental health condition or would be better addressed by another specialty or specialist. When that happens we are happy to point you in the right direction and give referrals if needed so that you get the right care.

Sunrise Psychiatry offers Medication Management for a variety of behavioral health diagnosis’. We focus each individual’s treatment plan to be incorporated into their specific lifestyle and routine. We stick to what works not only safely but effectively for you, while also providing education behind the treatment plan that you and your specific provider discuss and decide upon.
We believe that you can feel better, happy, focused, and be able to live a full and joyful life. At Sunrise Psychiatry, we strive to educate patients about their diagnosis and what treatment options are available to you. We believe you have the right to know that you have options to choose from regarding your treatment. We strive to ensure that you’re on the safest and most effective treatment to be able to wake up happy and feeling motivated each and every day.
Sunrise Psychiatry specializes only in Medication Management. We do not provide therapy or counseling services. Therapy with a licensed therapist or psychologist is often recommended as part of a patient’s treatment plan and we provide therapy referrals and contact information if needed. This information is also available to non established patients that may not be interested in medication management.
